I've arrived!

(sorry that the sound is off - I tried to fix it, but I couldn't figure it out!)
I'm here, safe and in my room!

I made it here! The flight went well. I tried to beat this dude in Sudoku, but I gave up after my pen burst all over my hands and I started getting "plane" sick - it was kind of bumpy. Here is a quick burst on the day:
- We came straight from the airport to our home - Oky's house
- Oky is going to be one of the main subjects of this blog, I can already predict it. She is the sweetest, most hospitable, lovely lady. When we first arrived she had koolaid and poundcake waiting for us. She tells us in her broken English - "I am like mom - you are like my girls".
- She is a phenominal cook. We had dinner together around the table tonight: plantains, potatoes, chicken and salad.
- We also set up our rooms and unpacked all our stuff. Home, sweet home.

I am SO happy and thrilled to be here. I am also extremely tired. Breakfast comes early tomorrow! 6:30 am!

The girls and I are going to make a video soon to show you this BEAUTIFUL house. It's unreal how nice it is. Is this really my life?!?

  4. Hi Nikki!

I'm not sure if you remember me, but you posted on my blog last spring asking me about CDS. I just found your blog again and saw that you're living with Oky! Boy are you guys lucky! She's amazing! I pray you're enjoying your time abroad and soaking in all that Costa Rica has to offer! Please tell Oky hi for me!
